Oman's Foreign Minister Yousef Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah left for Syria on Sunday on a visit during which he would convey a message from Sultan Qaboos to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The Omani News Agency quoted the minister as saying in a departure statement that the visit was in line with ongoing coordination between the two states, adding that his discussions with Syrian leaders would deal with what he described, current regional political conditions and matters of joint concern.
