Moscow has reiterated "its principled position" declared during talks between the Russian and US Presidents that "It cooperated and would continue to cooperate with Iran in nuclear power generation," Sergei Prikhodko, adviser to the Russian head of stste, told reporters on Wednesday.
At the same time, the scope of such cooperation with Iran will be determined by Tehran's work with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Prikhodko added.
Moreover, according to him, the development of such cooperation will also depend on the solution of the issue of returning spent nuclear fuel from the Bushehr nuclear plant to Russia.
According to IRIB, the Russian adviser noted that "The Iranian issue was raised on U.S. initiative." (Albawaba.com)
