An Iraqi government official has blamed technical failure or poor aviation experience for a plane crash that killed 34 people, mainly Turkish construction workers, north of Baghdad.
"It must have been technical failure or a lack of aviation experience," Ahmed al-Mussawi, spokesman for the Iraqi transport ministry, told AFP Wednesday one day after the incident. Turkish officials blamed bad weather for the crash.
