Nuqul Group’s ‘FINE’ named among “Best Employers in Middle East 2009’ by inaugural Hewitt study
“FINE” the market leader in the Middle East’s hygienic paper industry and a part of the Jordan based Nuqul Group, has been recognised as one of the best employers in the Middle East in 2009 by Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting firm. The inclusion of Fine, in this list that comprises a total of just 12 names, reaffirms the excellent market reputation the company has maintained both as a favourable employer and a manufacturer of top quality hygienic paper products.
The key findings of the inaugural Hewitt Best Employers in the Middle East 2009 study revealed that the HR function in organisations that are Best Employers, plays the role of an expert people administrator and strategic business partner. Best Employers are better at career development; provide better benefits; make significantly better investments in employee development; and are better at making employees feel valued.

Hewitt's Study partners included the Dubai Knowledge Village, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, the Tamkeen (Labour Fund) in Bahrain, and the American Chambers of Commerce in Egypt. Hewitt reported that the representative employee base registered for the study was over 150,000 employees from across the GCC and Levant region.
The FINE stable of products includes facial tissues, toilet paper, baby diapers, wet wipes, refreshing towels, adult briefs, jumbo rolls, kitchen towels and sanitary pads. FINE has a manufacturing unit at the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai that is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and employs around 300 highly-skilled staff. Currently FINE has an established presence in most of the Middle East countries including Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
