ALBAWABA - The Norwegian government said that Russia had violated its airspace three times during the first nine months of 2025, calling the incidents "not acceptable", AFP reported Tuesday.
"Russia has violated Norwegian airspace on three occasions this spring and summer," Norway's PM Jonas Gahr Store announced in a statement, adding that these violations were less serious than recent ones against Estonia, Poland and Romania.
"We cannot determine whether this was done intentionally or due to navigation errors. Regardless of the cause, this is not acceptable," Store maintained.
In addition, Norway's Oslo Airport was forced to shutdown for several hours after authorities spotted unknown drones in the country's airspace.
Nonetheless, several drones were also seen over Copenhagen Airport, forcing airport authorities to halt operations on Monday, Danish police said.
In a post on X, Copenhagen Airport announced on Sept. 11 that it had shut down operations due to "activity." However, the flights resumed after several hours of closure at 3:22 a.m. local time (0122 GMT).
