Nokia showcased its new Arabic support for Ovi App Wizard at GITEX Mobile Apps and Content World, giving publishers an easy and fast way to mobilize content, and enabling app creation in literally just a few minutes. With its unparalleled integration into Ovi Store, the app wizard lets publishers quickly enter new markets or tap deeper into existing ones. Whether publishing content globally or extending a valuable brand to a new region, Ovi app wizard makes distributing important content to over 190 countries possible with just a few clicks.

"Ovi app wizard takes you through the process step-by-step, and makes app creation easy. No programming skills are needed, and no registration fees are required. It lets you publish web content from RSS and Atom feeds into a mobile application for distribution to millions of consumers," said Hatem Nawar, Forum Nokia Developer Relations Manager, Nokia Middle East and Africa. "We are extremely excited to now have this capability also in Arabic."

Since its public debut in May, publishers have embraced Ovi app wizard as an important tool to reach millions of consumers by easily transforming web content into a mobile application with no programming required.

A recent upgrade to Ovi app wizard (http://www.ovi.com/appwizard) lets publishers choose between an English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian or Chinese version of the tool to create mobile apps in minutes. The upgrade delivers apps with a new design, extends their reach to more devices, and gives publishers the option to increase the discoverability of their app with a free banner creation tool.

The upgrade introduces a new level of ease to the app creation process with improved color selection, a logo cropping feature, and support for over 20 new app UI languages. It also adds Twitter and Facebook sharing options. Apps created with the updated tool have a faster loading time and support an automatic recognition of partial RSS feeds.

The upgrade extends the reach of Ovi app wizard apps to over 100 Nokia handsets, including the new family of Symbian^3 devices. This extended reach helps solidify publishers' return on investment when choosing the free Ovi app wizard to extend a brand to new markets, build market share, and even monetize content. Monetization options and free co-marketing tools further enhance the value proposition. Publishers seeking an additional revenue stream may choose to charge for downloads, or enable optional advertising with an ad network partner. To drive traffic to their app publishers can click 'promote' in the tool dashboard to create free digital banners to use on any website, which raise consumers' awareness of a publisher's mobile offering and enable quick downloads by linking directly to the content item in Ovi Store.

Top-tier brands and companies in the media, music, sports and leisure verticals have all responded to the new gateway into Ovi Store. Examples include National Geographic, 24.com, Yahoo, The Economist, Greenpeace, EMI Music, IDG, Aftonbladet, Berlingske, Hubert Burda Media, Axel Springer, WWF, Travel Channel, Food Network, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health and ZDNet.

Publishers from over 90 countries have already used the new online tool to create locally relevant apps which deliver a valuable service such as best local gas prices in Canada and Germany, or unite micro-communities, celebrity fan bases or university students and alumni.
