Nokia, the global leader in mobile communications, will participate for the first time in GULFCOMMS, the Middle East's Largest Telecommunications Technology Event covering Mobile, Fixed, IP and Satellite communications - taking place in conjunction with Gitex 2006 from 18 to 22 November 2006. Nokia will showcase its entire range of mobile phones and devices in addition to its cutting-edge experiences and solutions.
“This is the first time Nokia participates ‘directly’ at GULFCOMMS and we are delighted to be present at this prestigious event,” commented Timo Toikkanen, SVP Customer and Market Operations, Middle East Africa, Nokia. “Prior to GULFCOMMS, we used to exhibit at Gitex through our distributors and partners in the region.
Nokia’s market leading mobile phones will play a prominent role at GULFCOMMS. The company has the largest portfolio of mobile phones available on the market, with the entire range of phones, from the entry level 1112 to the high end couture 8800 Sirocco on display for visitors to Nokia’s booth. Whether a customer’s needs are for a simple mobile phone with clear voice capabilities, or a multi-talented device that is the perfect complement to a tasteful wardrobe, Nokia’s phones can fulfil any requirement. Visitors to Nokia’s stand at GULFCOMMS will be able to see and interact with the whole Nokia portfolio of mobile phones, known to be the biggest in the market.
The Nseries, Nokia’s far-reaching multimedia computers, will also be present at the show – representing the world’s latest technology when it comes to mobile convergence, multimedia computers and experiences - imaging, music, video, internet, navigation and mobile TV. Consumers will be able to have a first hand experience of the latest Nokia N95, with its 5.0 megapixel camera and its integrated GPS at your fingertips. Nokia’s Nseries range is certain to attract visitors and attendees at the show.
And there is more. Nokia’s Enterprise devices and solutions will show business executives the full potential of workforce mobility. Nokia’s family of enterprise devices, the Eseries, will be showcased along with unique business solutions. The E61 with the full email compatibility and other business features will be present at the Nokia stand and will reveal to attendees how this device helps enterprise customers to increase efficiency and save workers considerable amounts of time.
And last but not least, Nokia networks will be very much present showcasing the company’s service delivery platforms and related services to mobile operators and service providers. Attendees of GULFCOMMS 2006 will also bear witness to Nokia’s embrace of 3G convergence mobile technology and the potential it has for the Middle East market and beyond.
“Exhibitions like GULFCOMMS are not all about showcasing latest products and solutions. It is also about interacting with many players in the telecom industry,” said Walid Moneimne, SVP Central Europe Middle East Africa, Networks, Nokia. Our participation in this important event allows us to interact and meet with our customers and partners and discuss some of the latest topics and issues in this industry. Our position as the leading mobile technology provider makes our involvement in this event a very positive necessity. As the market here expands, undoubtedly so will our involvement in events such as this one.”
