NMEF Appoints New Managing Director for its Operations in the Middle East

Nissan Middle East last week announced that Toru Hasegawa,
47 years old, has been appointed Managing Director of its operations in the
Middle East, based in Dubai, effective November 1, 2005. Hasegawa takes the
reigns from Shoichi Miyatani, who will be based in Mexico as the new
President of Nissan Mexicana, and will move to the Dubai operation in
January 2006.

Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Nissan Middle East,
Hasegawa was the General Manager of the GOM (General Overseas Market)
Planning Department, specializing in business development projects,
including market entry strategy development and parts complementation
strategy among Asian countries for vehicle production.

Hasegawa was based at PT. Nissan Motor Indonesia, a production and sales
subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in Indonesia, from 2001 to 2005,
helping the company increase the sales volume dramatically and receiving the
Nissan Sales and Service Way award from head office in 2004 and 2005
consecutively. In 2004, Hasegawa led PT. Nissan Motor Indonesia to the No.1
SUV sales position in Indonesia.

Hasegawa has eight years of international PR and marketing experience,
backed by 12 years marketing and sales activities in the Australian, New
Zealand, and Taiwanese markets.
