Nivea for Men 24 Hours

On November 3-4, the 1.2km Kartdrome CIK certified track at the Dubai Autodrome will host the Nivea For Men 24 Hours of Dubai the second round of the 2006/2007 Endurance Championship. The event has engrossed 22 teams from Russia (2 teams), Italy, France, UK, Pakistan, Seychelles and Bahrain along with local UAE teams.

The first round was held on the 4th and 5th of May 2006 and was won by Team Wataniya Upright from the Kingdom of Bahrain. Second place went to Nivea For Men Team while Team Unstoppabulls rounded the podium. This event has previously been exceptionally successful, alternatively attracting more and more teams and growing in popularity.

Drivers signing on will commence on Friday at 10 am along with the verification of equipments. This will be followed by the drivers briefing and then captains’ briefing. Free practice will start at 15:00 and finish by 16:30. This will be followed by a 45 minute qualifying session. The actual race will start at 18:00 sharp and will continue for 24 hours. Spectators are invited to be part of the most enjoyable motor sport and social event in the UAE. Entrance for general public is free of charge.

The competing teams will use similar karts, manufactured by SODIKART and equipped with a 390 cc single Honda engines generating 13.50 horsepower. The NIVEA For Men Endurance Championship was first launched in 2005, with the first of three races taking place on May 27-28. The winners of this 1,000 km of Dubai race was Team EMSF. The second race, the 24 hours of Dubai, took place in November and was won by Dojomoto/7days who also went onto repeat their success in the 1,500 race that took place in January 2006, they where also placed 13th at the legendary 24-hour Le Mans, which took place between September 29th and October 1st 2006.
