Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) announced today the availability of its latest Phaser Colour printers in the Middle East & Africa markets. The Phaser 8500 and the award-winning Phaser 8550 solid ink color printers and Phaser 6300 and Phaser 6350 color laser printers are designed to allow small to large offices to affordably create smart-looking color documents.

The printers offer unmatched capabilities, such as the industry’s fastest speed of 36 pages-per-minute on the Phaser 6350 and a five-second first-page-out time on the Phaser 8550, as well as a competitively low starting price of $899 for the networked Phaser 8500.

Phaser 8500 and Phaser 8550: High-Quality Color with Xerox Solid Ink
Building on Xerox’s proprietary solid ink technology platform, Xerox offers the Phaser 8500 for small to midsized offices looking to purchase a high-quality color printer at an affordable price. Starting at $899, the Phaser 8500 prints up to 24 ppm in color and black-and-white and is easy to install, maintain and use. Printing at up to 30 ppm in color and black-and-white, the Phaser 8550 has a 600 MHz processor, as well as an industry-leading first-page-out time of less than 5 seconds.
In addition, the printers handle custom page sizes from 3.5” x 5” to 8.5” x 14” paper, providing the flexibility that businesses need to create everything from sales proposals and presentations to promotional brochures.
Phaser 6350 and Phaser 6300: Laser Printers Deliver Maximum Performance
The Phaser 6350 is designed for large workgroups that have high-volume printing needs and demand top speed and performance from their color printer. It offers the industry’s fastest speed in its class of up to 36 ppm in color and black-and-white, a first-page-out time as fast as 10 seconds, and an 800 MHz processor. High-capacity toner cartridges with a yield of 10,000 impressions, coupled with a maximum paper capacity of 2,350 sheets of paper, means less time maintaining the printer. The Phaser 6350 also comes with up to 512 MB of memory and a high monthly duty cycle of 120,000 pages, offering maximum productivity.
For smaller offices and workgroups looking to replace their black-and-white laser printer with a powerful, color-capable printer, the Phaser 6300 starts at $1,299 and delivers color speeds up to 26 ppm and 36 ppm in black-and-white.
All configurations of the new printers are networked, are easy to use and install, and come with advanced printer management features to help customers save time and money. Those features include PhaserSMART™, a Web-based technical support feature; PrintingScout, a software tool that alerts the user about issues such as when the paper or toner have run out; and CentreWare® Web, a server-based application that helps manage both Xerox and third-party devices on the network.
A new feature found in the Phaser 6350 and Phaser 8550, called Personal Print, allows people to download jobs to a printer’s hard drive and into a virtual personal mailbox, and then print them all at once, so their jobs do not get mixed in with coworkers’ documents.
And the Usage Analysis Tool allows administrators to easily collect, organize and analyze print job accounting data from multiple printers and use the information to calculate charge-back billing data for other departments.
The Phaser 8550 starts at $1,299, while the Phaser 6350 starts at an estimated retail price of $1,799. All printers are available immediately worldwide through Xerox resellers, distributors, authorized sales agents, dealers, direct sales, concessionaires and TeleWeb operations.
