ALBAWABA- In a breaking development, media aligned with the Ansar Allah, Houthi group in Yemen, has declared that the Taif area in the Al-Durayhimi District of Hodeidah, west of Yemen, was targeted by American-British airstrikes. 

In a new update, Houthi media reports a rise in the number of US-British raids on Hodeidah to 9. The latest American and British airstrikes targeted the Al-Arj area in the Bajil District in Hodeidah.

Notably, US, UK, and French military forces intercepted Houthi drones yesterday following an attack on a bulk carrier and destroyers in the Red Sea. 

The US military confirmed downing dozens of drones after the Iran-aligned Houthis targeted the vessels. 

The Houthis claimed they launched 37 drones targeting the cargo vessel and US war destroyers in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

 This incident is part of ongoing Houthi attacks on ships in the region, which they say is in solidarity with Palestinians during Israel's conflict with Hamas in Gaza.

 U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that at least 28 uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) were downed over the Red Sea in response to the attack.
