new emirates skycargo service to open more world markets for canadian goods
Canadian companies will have greater opportunities to get their products to the burgeoning Middle East and Asian markets beginning 29th October when Emirates Airline starts non-stop service between Toronto and Dubai.
Emirates SkyCargo has provided air freight services to Canadians through its Calgary office for six years and now with its own direct flights beginning between Toronto and Dubai, Emirates will be able to connect Canadian customers to its vast route network worldwide.
“With our interline partners we have moved all manner of Canadian products from aircraft engines and parts, to vehicles, mining equipment and even live lobsters from Newfoundland,” said Keith Stanley, Emirates’ Cargo Manager Canada. “We have built a strong relationship with the oil and gas industry in Canada, providing service through our worldwide network with connections to our flights in London and Frankfurt, among other destinations. Canadian companies will now have better access to the growing opportunities in South Asia, the Middle East and any of Emirates’ 93 destinations.”
Emirates SkyCargo has utilized interline connections with its prime and largest interline partner, Air Canada, as well as Air TransAt and Zoom with coordination through Emirates’ Calgary office.
In addition to expediting directly from Toronto, Emirates will continue to use Air Canada across the country to connect with Emirates’ flights in London and Frankfurt. The Toronto flights will improve delivery times and capacity for Canadian shipments throughout the world.
