ALBAWABA- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sparked confusion with conflicting statements regarding talks with Washington and the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

According to reports, Netanyahu initially stated that Israel had not agreed to send a delegation to Washington.

However, Axios, citing American and Israeli officials, contradicted this, claiming that Netanyahu plans to dispatch a delegation next week to discuss the operation in Gaza.

This delegation is said to include the Minister of Strategic Affairs and the National Security Advisor.

In addition, NBC, citing an American official, reported that Netanyahu's office expressed a desire to reschedule a canceled meeting regarding Rafah.

However, The Economist, citing Israeli military sources, reported that the Netanyahu government had not engaged in serious discussions or adopted a clear policy regarding aid to Gaza.

Amidst the conflicting statements, the Israeli Defense Minister emphasized the critical importance of the conflict's outcome for Israel's future, stressing the need to recover hostages and end Hamas' control of Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Deputy US delegate to the Security Council reiterated the commitment to press for the implementation of the Council's resolution on Gaza by all parties involved.

The contradictory messages from Israeli and American officials reflect the complexity and uncertainty surrounding the situation, highlighting the challenges in navigating diplomatic efforts amidst ongoing conflict.
