Netanyahu apologizes for blaming army, intelligence for Hamas attack

ALBAWABA - Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, appologyzing for accusing the Israeli army and intelligence of being responsible for the Hamas operation on Oct. 7.

"I was wrong," the Israeli Prime Minister said. "Things I said following the press conference should not have been said and I apologize for that. I give full backing to all the heads of the security arms. I am strengthening the Chief of Staff and the commanders and soldiers of the IDF who are at the front and fighting for the house."

Netanyahu further added in his X post: "Together we will win."

Earlier, the prime minister shared a post blaming the Israeli army and intelligence for the Hamas military wing attacks against Israel on Oct. 7, in what Hamas called the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

However, after the heavy backlash that Benjamin Netanyahu received due to his blame for the Israeli army and intelligence, he deleted his post and shared an apology saying he was not right about what he said.
