ALBAWABA - Australian police announced in a statement on Monday that they had transferred the Bondi Beach shooting suspect from the hospital to jail.

Naveed Akram, 24, had been in hospital under police guard and is being taken to jail as he is facing dozens of charges, including terrorism and 15 murders.

Australian police have charged alleged Bondi Beach attacker Naveed Akram with terrorism, in addition to 15 counts of murder and a litany of other crimes, last Wednesday, due to the horrific shooting that took place on Sunday, killing 16 people, including one of the gunmen.

The police in Australia claimed first that the shooters went on a trip to the Philippines, allegedly saying that they got "military-style" training there; however, the Philippines rejected the allegation.

On the other hand, the police have alleged that two men accused of carrying out last week's deadly mass shooting on Bondi Beach trained for the attack in the Australian countryside, court documents released today confirmed.

Naveed Akram, 24, and his father, Sajid Akram, 50, travelled to the Philippines in the month before a deadly shooting at Bondi Beach, with reports suggesting they visited the Asian country to receive "military-style training", highlighting that in one of the shooting videos, Naveed was seen shooting like a professional and not like a normal person.

"Police will allege in court the man engaged in conduct that caused death, serious injury and endangered life to advance a religious cause and cause fear in the community," New South Wales state police first said in a statement.
