Abu Dhabi 5th of April 2007 – The National Health Insurance Company, Daman, has won “The Best Medical Insurer of the Year’ Award in the Middle East’s leading Insurance conference INSUREX 2007. Nominated for the category, Daman was rewarded for the major role it participated in implementing the new Health Insurance Scheme and enrolling over half a Million expatriates in the UAE to become the largest health insurer in the GCC region.
“Winning this award is a testament of all the hard efforts and work dedication of all Daman team. We are delighted to have won this Award, which gave an enthusiasm commitment to maintain our standards and using all possible resources to improve our services, to put our organization on the international insurance map,” commented Dr. Michael Bitzer, Daman CEO.
Participating in the INSUREX 2007 exhibition, which was held on 2 & 3rd of April 2007, in Dubai at the Grand Hyatt, executives from Daman met with delegates from various organizations operating in the insurance industry and discussed various aspects and factors affecting the insurance sector. Discussions were held to exchange experiences and information that highlighted the different products and services provided in the UAE market.
