ALBAWABA -Six U.S. Air Force airmen were killed in an aircraft crash in western Iraq on Thursday, the Pentagon revealed in a statement.
On Saturday, the Pentagon identified all the American airmen who lost their lives in the plane crash. According to American authorities, an investigation was opened into the incident which took place in Iraq.
The airmen were identified as Maj. John A. Klinner, 33, of Auburn, Alabama, Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons, 28, of Columbus, Ohio, Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, 34, of Bardstown, Kentucky, Capt. Seth R. Koval, 38, of Mooresville, Indiana, Capt. Curtis J. Angst, 30, of Wilmington, Ohio, and Capt. Ariana G. Savino, 31, of Covington, Washington.
The number of U.S. troops killed in connection with the war with Iran has reached 13.
