Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak returned home Monday night after a tour to the United States and Europe which he concluded in a summit with French President, Jacques Chirac at Elysee Palace. The two leaders underlined the need for resuming negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis as this is the only way to settle the conflict among them.
Addressing a joint press conference following their talks, Mubarak said Israel's attempt to get guarantees before negotiating final solution issues does not conform with the guidelines of the peace process.
