MTV MOTOALERT, which is available exclusively on the Showtime Network and partners leading global music brand MTV and global leaders in wireless communications Motorola, were back with their second MTV MOTOALERT PARTY, which took place this time in Cairo at The Jazz Club.

A select “guest list only” crowd was invited to a night of music, dancing and a personal appearance and live performance by the Middle Eastern diva, Myriam Fares. An additional treat included partying the night away to the sounds of DJ Johnny from MIX FM Lebanon

Proving to be more than just a show, MTV MOTOALERT yet again took the hottest stars off screen and brought them straight to the fans. Myriam Fares, the November featured artist of MTV MOTOALERT, attended and performed five of her hottest hits among them “Waheshny Eh”, and “Nadeeny”. Attendees included the movers and shakers of Egypt’s night life scene, as well as a select number of MTV MOTOALERT registered members from the website www.mtvmotoalert-mena.com.

The party was part of the MTV MOTOALERT 360° multimedia music and entertainment consumer experience on air, online, and on the ground, and is the premier platform to showcase rising Arab & westerns artists across the MENA region.  It also aims to give music fans a chance to get closer to both local and international stars.

“I didn’t think watching MTV MOTOALERT would win me a trip to Cairo and to a private party with Myriam Fares.” said Majd Sinno an MTV MOTOALERT member from Beirut.

Marissa Loh, Senior Account Director of MTV Networks Asia said, “The first MTV MOTOALERT WAREHOUSE party which happened in Dubai proved to be a great success with more than double the amount of people expected showing up. This tells us that our formula of being exclusive, innovative, taking the artists, such as Karl Wolf and Myriam Fares to the fans and vice versa, is working.”

Mahmoud Sayed Ahmed, Regional Marketing Manager of Motorola said, “The whole purpose of MTV MOTOALERT is to reaffirm Motorola’s support for local music talent in the region utilizing the full 360° platform of MTV. In addition to giving the artists exposure and bringing them closer to their audience, this collaboration gives us the opportunity to showcase the advanced features of our handsets to our target audience of young music lovers across the region.”

At the event Myriam Fares was presented a personalized Motorola KRZR K1 with her name engraved on the handset.  Music is one of the key experiences of Motorola’s mobiles, a number of which offer innovative music features including superior audio capability and extensive memory for storing song files.

Commenting on the event Myriam Fares said, "It was a great experience to be part of the MTV MOTOALERT Show again. I really enjoyed being so close to my fans since they mean so much to me."

MTV MOTOALERT can be seen on MTV exclusively on the Showtime network.
