Motorola has announced that it won a $29 million contract, to expand a Jordanian wireless network, according to a press release by the company, published on Ameinfo.com
The contract was signed and designed to meet the increasing number of the subscribers’ base from 500,000 to 750,000, as the targeted completion date for the project is set on July 2001.
Motorola will install additional cellular base station equipment, according to the terms of the deal, using its industry-leading Horizonmacro, Horizonmicro and Horizoncompact products, said the press.
Motorola said it will also increase the network’s switching capacity, in addition of providing a number of network tools and services like; radio interface, switching support, overall system engineering and network optimization —Albawaba.com
