Moroccan health authorities confirmed the first case of swine flu in the city of Fez. It was detected in a young student returning from Canada. According to MAP, the 18-year old girl, had arrived Wednesday in Casablanca from Montreal before taking an internal flight to Fez, 120 km east of Rabat.
Her health condition "is not worrying," said Friday Director of the Hassan II university hospital center, Khaled Ait Taleb. "The girl, who is receiving a five-day treatment, has started to show signs of improvement, notably a decline in fever," Ait Taleb was quoted as saying by the kingdom's news agency, MAP.
