During his address to the nation for 52nd Anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, Moroccan King Mohammed VI announced on Saturday August 20 that a campaign against poverty will be launched. E-marrakech reports that nearly 4 millions Moroccans, out of a total population of 30 million, live in poverty spending less than 8, 86 dirham per day. In the first phase of the planned project 360 rural and 250 urban districts will benefit from the new economic reforms. The budget allocated for the project, which will be carried out between 2006 and 2010, is about a billion euro.
