On the occasion of Aid Al Adha, Morocco's King Mohammed VI granted pardon to 360 people sentenced to jail terms. A group of 102 detainees were granted free pardon on the remaining of their jail terms, 235 had their terms reduced, one had his life jail term commuted to a limited term.
According to MAP, six persons had their prison sentence suspended with the fines maintained and 16 had their fines cancelled.
