Morocco’s lucrative Tobacco Board monopoly, Régie des Tabacs, may be restructured before its privatization, according to Upline Securities.
The restructuring is essential in order to separate tobacco tax revenue destined for the government from the board's own tobacco production income, said the firm.
The recommendation is contained in a consulting report on possible approaches to the privatization, it added – Albawaba.com
