Morocco’s King Mohammed VI arrived in Qatar on Wednesday for a two-day visit, which marks his first visit to Qatar since ascending to power in 1999.

Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani received King Mohammed at the airport.

Discussions between the two are expected to deal with bilateral relations and means of strengthening them as well as the latest developments on the regional and international levels, topped by the ongoing daily Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, according to the Kuwait news Agency.

The Moroccan ambassador in Qatar al-Hussein Aziz told reporters that the visit is significant because it comes at a very sensitive point in time.

Qatar currently chairs the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). (albawaba.com)
