Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has sent Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika a message of thanks for the solidarity Algeria has showed Rabat following the floods that recently hit the North African Kingdom.
"We have received with consideration and recognition the financial and technical assistance, which evidences your laudable initiative and your acting solidarity that consecrate the strength of brotherly ties between our two peoples," the king’s message said, cited by Maghreb Arabe Presse.
According to an official death toll, the floods, caused by torrential rain, have left 63 people dead and 17 injured. 26 people were still reported missing. (Albawaba.com)
