Morocco’s King Mohammed VI and Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali “endeavor relentlessly” to find a peaceful solution to the Iraqi crisis and avoid war, Morocco's Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister, Mohamed Benaissa told Morocco’s official news agency.
Benaissa, who delivered a message from King Mohammed VI to the Tunisian President, said it was in the framework of permanent consultation between the two leaders.
Additionally, the Foreign Minister said he discussed with Ben Ali current matters related to the promotion of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA) structures, bilateral relations and perspectives to further consolidate them.
The crucial juncture prevailing on Arab and Islamic arenas, in wake of the Iraqi crisis was also discussed, Benaissa said, according to MAP.
The meeting took place in the presence of Tunisian Foreign Affairs Minister, Habib Ben Yahya and Morocco's Ambassador to Tunis, Abdellah Belkziz. (Albawaba.com)
