Nabil Benabdallah, the Moroccan minister of communication and a government spokesperson met on Tuesday in Rabat with the vice minister for sports and culture of the Canary Islands, Dulce Xerach, who is visiting Morocco. The meetings included in depth discussions on how to improve cultural ties between Morocco and the Canary Islands, particularly in the fields of communication and television.
An agreement was signed to implement an action plan ahead of the next planned visit of a Canary Island delegation to Morocco, expected in the beginning of 2005.
