At least six people including a policeman were killed and four others injured in separate violence incidents in West Algeria on Friday, according to Algerian authorities.

The Algerian press agency quoted local officials as saying four farmers were assassinated Friday in the village of Luwaiza of the Sidi Bulabas state, some 400 kilometers west of Algiers.

The farmers, according to the authorities, were killed by a seven-man terrorist group, an official name of Islamist gunmen, KUNA reported.

Meanwhile, another man was killed and four others injured on Friday in a hand grenade detonation in Balarabi municipality in the same state, authorities added.

Earlier on, authorities reported the killing of a policeman Friday night inside a popular restaurant in central Ein al-Dufli state, an estimated 150 kilometers southwest of the capital. (Albawaba.com)
