Some 80 Egyptian lawmakers have canceled plans to attend Saturday’s Morocco-Egypt World Cup match due to financial problems, reports said.
According to Morocco’s official news agency (MAP), the speaker of the Egyptian parliament has canceled the MPs’ planned trip to Morocco to support their national soccer team in their World Cup 2002 qualifying match.
The Egyptian Parliament reportedly could not afford to pay for the trip.
