Mobily, Bayanat Al-Oula provide best connectivity solutions for businesses
Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) and its data subsidiary Bayanat Al-Oula provide the best telecommunications solutions for the business sector, said Bayanat’s boss.
Eyas Al Hajery, Bayanat’s director, said that these state-of-the-art services will add high-quality services that enable businesses to keep up with the rapid developments in the world of telecommunications.
Hajery added that the DIA (Direct Internet Access) service provides fast, uninterrupted Internet connectivity to a business client using various technologies, such as fiber optics and microwave, with speeds ranging from one megabit per second (Mbps) to a whopping 10 gigabits per second (Gbps). Connectivity options can either be dedicated or shared, with the possibility of a backup link when needed.
Ethernet VPN (Virtual Private Network) is another premium service of Mobily’s and Bayanat’s aimed at businesses, said Hajery.
This service facilitates connectivity among several branches and sites of a company through a virtual, safe and secure Layer 2 local area network (VPN LAN), making it easy to exchange data and applications.
He said that Ethernet VPN can work through fiber optics and microwave, with the same range of speeds mentioned above and the same connectivity options as DIA. It can also be configured to run point-to-point, point-to-multi-point or multi-point-to-multi-point. Also, a variety of protocols can be used, with the possibility of building local sub-networks (VPLS).
There is also the IP VPN (Virtual Private Networking through Internet Protocol) service, which helps businesses and institutions network and exchange data and applications through a VPN using an Internet protocol with ease and security.
Hajery said that the Layer 3 network can work through fiber optics, microwave and WiMax, with the same aforementioned range of speeds and the same connectivity options. Business clients have several options for Quality of Service (QoS) to organize data transfer priorities. Bayanat also provides router management possibilities to help smooth out the data exchange process.
