Wireless operator MobileCom, member of the Jordan Telecom Group, announced in a press conference hjeld on November 24th, the launch of an innovative and exclusive service, which gives subscribers with its “Youth” prepaid offer discounted rates as low as 2 piasters per minute when calling to any MobileCom number within the campus of the University of Jordan, Hashemite University and Yarmouk University.
MobileCom CEO Mickael Ghossein explained that the service comes inline with MoblieCom’s continuous efforts to service the ever growing subscribers’ base of university students, saying that the new offer will provide flexibility in calling by giving these students the same quality services, but at lower tariffs.
He also added that the selection of these universities coincides with MobileCom’s mission to spread its advanced services across the entire Kingdom, pointing out that the company will seek to make this service available in all the universities in the near future.
Earlier this year in March, the company launched an exclusive prepaid offer for Karak Governorate, similar in concept to the aforementioned offer, which offers subscribers highly discounted rates when making calls within the boundaries of the southern Governorate.
In a presentation during the conference, MobileCom said that though its “Youth” offer is not completely new, it gives subscribers many advantages such as the option of choosing three contacts within the same network to talk to at a low-price of 3 piasters per minute. Furthermore, each subscriber gets 50 free SMS and 2 free MMS for every recharging of JD1 in addition to a 20% free credit on every recharging of JD12 or more.
“Today, we provide university students with the best offer in terms of quality and tariff. Our innovative initiative is a translation of our incessant endeavors to provide new solutions, which leads to elevating the quality of services presented to the different segments of the Jordanian society,” Ghossein ended.
