Ministry of Public Works Spent Dh382m on welfare in 2001, Starts Bridge Construction

The UAE Ministry of Public Works spent Dh382 million on public welfare projects and other development investments during the year 2001, according to a ministry Press release quoted in the Khaleej Times.  

 

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works has announced an allocation of Dh24 million for the building of the Hamriyah Bridge in Ajman.  

 

The project will be completed in six month and will be ready for induction in the middle of this year. The Ministry of Public Works will be starting the work on an alternative Sharjah-Ras Al Khaimah road in this year. The project will help reduce the traffic load to Sharjah and Ajman and will go a long way towards the development of the area. (www.albawaba.com
