Ministry of Economy strengthens strategic partnerships in first half of 2010

The UAE Ministry of Economy has strengthened its partnerships with strategic partners during the first half of 2010 as per the directives of His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, in line with the overall objective of implementing the Ministry's strategy 2011 – 2013 and working towards achieving UAE Vision 2021.

 Al Mansouri said: "The first half of 2010 witnessed many activities at the local, regional and international levels with our strategic partners, which helped the Ministry in finding new prospects for cooperation and forming effective joint economic committees."

The Ministry of Economy strengthened relations with the private sector in UAE, and worked side by side with them to reach several agreements and propose amendments to a number of draft laws. "We also exchanged views and concerns to create a robust business environment that attract investments and contribute to diversifying the national economy."

Several meetings were held between the Ministry and organizations to issue trade licensces and trade names, and to prevent recurrence of brand names across the UAE. The Ministry also implemented a series of programmes on investment opportunities in the UAE to enhance awareness of investors all over the world.

The Ministry held a number of meetings with representatives of economic departments in UAE to coordinate efforts and explore the best methods to maintain market and price stabilty.

His Excellency Al Mansouri reiterated that all the achievements were result of team effort and dedication to the country.
