A minor earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale jolted Osmaniye in southern Turkey early Thursday, the Istanbul-based seismological institute said.
There were no reports of injuries or damage from the tremor, which struck at 2:36am (2336 GMT Wednesday).
Thirty-one people were injured in Osmaniye in June when an earthquake measuring 5.5 hit the city and its vicinity.
Criss-crossed by seismologic faultiness, Turkey is frequently rocked by earthquakes.
The worst disasters were in 1999 when some 20,000 people were killed in two strong tremors in the densely-populated northwest -- ANKARA, Aug 9 (AFP)
