Virtuoso violinist played musical pieces to enhance corporate understanding

Capital Club members were treated this week to an exclusive presentation Miha Pogačnik, a virtuoso violinist who uses his musical skill to consult with some of the world’s leading businesses and address performance issues. Through the performance of his music and accompanying discussion, Miha demonstrated the principles of transforming thinking patterns and removing barriers which limit creativity and vision in the corporate environment.

“Work-related stress is a constant issue which impacts decision-makers around the region Miha’s performance enabled Capital Club members to learn how classical music can provide greater clarity of thought and improve business performance.” said Andrew Christon, General Manager of the Capital Club.

In addition to being a virtuoso violinist, Miha Pogačnik is also president of the Institute of Development of Intercultural Relations through the Arts (IDRIART), based in Hamburg, Germany. From audiences of corporate executive teams to schoolteachers, he creates a unique spell to extract individuals' true awareness, implementing the powerful chemistry between creativity and business. Miha tours the world giving lectures in English and German on how art can influence business.

Miha Pogačnik’s presentation was the latest fixture of the Capital Club’s speakers’ programme, which has previously hosted H.E. Dr. Omar bin Sulaiman, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre; former Costa Rican President and CEO of Grupo Felipe IV in Spain, José María Figueres; and acclaimed business advisor, speaker, and author Ram Charan.

The Capital Club, launched late 2006, is scheduled to open later this year in the DIFC’s Gate Village.
