The vending & kiosks industry in the Middle East is poised for exponential growth in the coming years with the region’s first dual exhibition on automation self-service to be held in Dubai in May 2006. The Middle East Vending & Kiosks Expo 2006, the twin exhibitions focusing on manufacturers, vendors and suppliers of vending machines and kiosks will be held on May 20th and 21st at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. The event organised by Global Links, is supported by the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) and partnered by Euro Kiosks Network (EKN).

The Middle East Vending Expo 2006 is a one-stop business-sourcing center designed to cater to manufacturers, suppliers and vendors of self-service equipment and products, and showcases the most advanced vending products that offer best returns in terms of cost and time savings.

The Middle East Kiosks Expo 2006 that will be held in conjunction with the Vending Expo, will showcase procurement solutions that include hardware, software and other network applications required to upgrade machines and make them user-friendly and fully automated. These solutions will enable kiosks to offer various interactive services from bill payment transactions to informative services, thus improving business efficiency and return on investment.

“Technological advancements and progress always go hand-in-hand, and the Middle East has been a prime example of this. One key aspect of modernisation that the region has been witnessing is the increased use of vending machines and kiosks,” said Girish Dabrai, Managing Director, Global Links. “The concept of vending, although relatively new in the region, has caught up rapidly and holds tremendous potential for players in the industry. Moreover, the emphasis today is on effortless access to consumables, and this is where vending machines play a significant role.”

“The use of kiosks in shopping malls, transport terminals, workplaces and other public areas across the Middle East has greatly contributed to easing the lives of residents and tourists in the region. The upcoming Middle East Vending and Kiosks Expo will present manufacturers and suppliers in the industry, a platform to exchange ideas and enter into strategic business partnerships to tap the potential of the regional markets,” added Dabrai.

The dual exhibitions are expected to attract hundreds of participants and over 3000 visitors from the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, Africa and the CIS countries, looking to keep abreast of latest technological developments and product innovations. The event will also feature conferences, workshops & training seminars organized by NAMA and EKN.

The Middle East Vending Expo will attract manufacturers, suppliers and vendors of beverage vending, bottled water vending, chocolates vending, first aid vending, gifts vending, pay phones, postage stamp vending, newspaper and magazine vending, among others.

The Middle East Kiosks Expo will mainly feature manufacturers, suppliers and vendors of bank teller terminals, cash dispensers, information kiosks, monitors, printers, ticketing solutions, turnkey solutions and signage.
