“The debut edition of GETEX Abu Dhabi will focus on the spring admissions intake of international universities,” said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, IC&E, the organisers of GETEX. “This edition of the show will also give the student community in Abu Dhabi the opportunity to meet with university and college representatives, without having to cram too much information into a short day trip - this will be the students’ chance to explore at ease and ask as many questions as they need to, to make an informed decision.”
Top colleges and universities from the United Kingdom, Canada, U.S.A, Australia, India and the Middle East region are promoting a wide array of high quality academic courses during the three-day fair in Abu Dhabi.
A range of Seminars and Workshops are also planned for the three days of GETEX Abu Dhabi, covering areas like; learning styles and choices, career guidance tools, general educational information and career trends. Workshop topics include Self-Evaluation/Assessment - For Effective Career Mapping; Education Timeline - Strategies for High School Students; Learning for Life in the Student Centred Classroom; Learning Styles: Tips & Techniques to Optimise your Study Skills; and Starting a Career & Life Choices Programme in your School.
During GETEX Abu Dhabi, a team of counsellors will be at hand to meet with students, teachers and parents attending the event. With activities including aptitude tests, questionnaires and counselling sessions, GETEX Abu Dhabi will create a comfortable environment for students to intermingle, discuss their doubts and share opinions to finally make the right academic and career choices.
“Quality education is crucial to a nation’s progress and economic growth, a fact that has been duly recognised by the Government of UAE, which has provided total support to the country’s education sector. The favourable government policies have ensured that the level of higher education provided in the UAE is comparable to the best in the world. The excellent response to GETEX Abu Dhabi is further proof of the importance of UAE as a regional hub for quality education,” concluded Godinho.
