Forty female students from Dar Al Hekma College participated in the eighth global and first ever Portfolio Night in the Kingdom. Students of graphic and arts design presented their portfolio's to leading Creative Directors from Memac Ogilvy and other leading advertising agencies in Saudi Arabia.  The event, themed “15 Minutes To Shine In The World Of Advertising”, ran simultaneously in 40 cities around the world. Memac Ogilvy sponsored the event in seven cities in the GCC, Levant and North Africa.

Students were highly impressed, they networked with agencies’ executives who addressed several key topics that helped to understand how to start and advance a specific career in the advertising industry.

“We briefed students on the different advertising techniques, and they were given the opportunity to practice creative jobs first-hand”, stated Rabih Khouri, Managing Director of MEMAC Ogilvy Saudi Arabia. Rabih has also explained what’s it like to be an advertising professional and what does this entail.

Dr. Suhair Al Qurashi, Dean of Dar Al Hekma College, praised the efforts made to promote a creative culture. She encouraged similar initiatives that enable students to receive the greatest real-world learning advantage from a global industry-specialized organization.

MEMAC Ogilvy seeks to impact the industry by continuously introducing learning initiatives to students and advertising juniors around the world. Through fostering a creative culture and a career development approach, MEMAC’s programs reflect a belief that the aim of today’s professionals is to grow the industry and contribute in the preparation of next generation leaders.
