As part of Dubai Summer Surprises 2007, this week BurJuman will welcome in all the seasons of Mother Nature, as it visits its halls from 2 – 8 August.
In an effort to create awareness on the changing environment and global warming, Nature Surprises aims to generate an understanding on how to remedy the current damages on Earth. This event will coincide with a musical pop adaptation of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as it showcases all the four seasons in a melodious and theatrical rendition. The story will harmoniously emphasize each season and highlight the elements that compose each weather period, through various decorations and art representations.
Furthermore, a short yet powerful play on Mother Earth will surely attract everyone’s attention and generate proactive activity, as we watch Earth interact with the other seasons and various animals and nature’s offerings.
In keeping with the theme of the changing seasons, there will be games around summer, autumn, winter and spring seasons, where children will go on hunting adventures and match the gadgets to its season. By the end of the Nature Surprises display, children would have taken part in a grand environmental and architectural model. A picture game, an environmental quiz, and a recycling workshop are also scheduled for the week. Participants taking part in numerous exciting games will have the opportunity to win lots of prizes and goodies.
One of the highlights for this week will also be an exclusive performance by the Vivaldi Rock Violin Theatre. Combining classic ballet, acrobatic rock and roll, and a stellar performance by a live orchestra of violinists, this feature is a special treat for those looking for art, culture and entertainment in one package. For nearly three centuries, the stirring notes of Vivaldi's Four Seasons have carried away its audience's imagination to dream of nature's vibrant annual transformation. Vivaldi’s masterpiece has been set into countless musical adaptations, one of which will be presented at BurJuman in a modern sensation.
