The Mayor of Amman, Engineer Omar Maani, received in his office today the Saudi ambassador to Jordan, Fahed Abdul Muhsen Al Zaid.
Eng. Maani commended the bilateral relations between the two sister capitals, Amman and Riyadh, and discussed with his guest ways to bolster them in the various fields of municipal works.
The Saudi ambassador expressed his admiration of the architectural development that Amman has recently witnessed, praising the developmental projects being implemented by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), and its efforts to address the urban growth of the City.
During the meeting which was attended by GAM Council member, Yahya Al S’oud, and Advisor Marwan Al Fa’ouri, the Mayor briefed the visiting ambassador on GAM’s current and future projects, and the celebrations it is organizing this year on the occasion of the passing of 100 years since the first municipality was established in Amman.
