ALBAWABA - Hezbollah conducted a massive drone attack on Monday night, according to RT's source in Lebanon, that was aimed toward the Western Galilee region in Northern Israel. Fifteen Israeli settlements had alarms activated due to the incident.
Three drone explosions in the Eyalet HaShahar region were confirmed by the Upper Galilee Regional Council in Israel.
Fearing possible drone infiltrations, sirens were sounded in a number of sites, including Shlomi, Betzet, Avdon, and Neve Ziv.
Israel's air defense systems retaliated by firing missiles to intercept the drones coming from Lebanon, according to the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth.
Additionally, the Maariv daily said that about twenty rockets were fired into the northern Israelite region of Western Galilee from southern Lebanon.
This intensification came after Israel declared on Sunday that it would launch a preemptive strike against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. This operation took place at the same time that Hezbollah released a statement in which it claimed responsibility for a drone and missile attack on northern Israel close to Tel Aviv. The attack was carried out in response for the July Israeli bombing that killed top Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukr.
Even though Israel and Hezbollah both announced that Sunday's conflict was over, hostilities have continued till October 8. The front in southern Lebanon, according to Hezbollah, is in solidarity with Gaza, even as the Israeli military keeps hitting sites within Lebanon with artillery and aircraft.
Furthermore, according to a Sunday Maariv article, the Israeli army is probably going to launch another "preemptive strike" on Hezbollah sometime next week.
