ALBAWABA - A huge fire broke out near the Ein Hayam neighborhood in Haifa city, causing thick smoke to rise into nearby homes.
The country's fire and rescue service said on Sunday that six teams were dispatched to the location to extinguish the blaze in Haifa, according to The Times of Israel.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is yet to be announced by Israeli authorities.
A video was posted online showing firefighters opening water cannons to put out the fire that erupted near houses.
This coincides with the country's high temperatures and prolonged drought, with coastal areas witnessing one of the hottest November days in decades.
