ALBAWABA- A massive fire sparked at the Homs Oil Refinery in Syria caused a significant fire to break out in one of its units. The fire department swiftly responded, working to prevent the blaze from spreading.
Pro-Syrian regime news sources report that the fire has since been brought under control, and cooling operations are underway. No human casualties have been recorded.
The Commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, Major Iyad Al-Muhammad, reported to a SANA correspondent that the fire in Unit 100 of the Homs refinery had been extinguished.
