ALBAWABA- A massive explosion followed by a raging fire tore through a warehouse in the Port of Hamburg on Monday, sending a huge fireball into the sky and clouds of smoke visible for miles across the city.
Local media reported that several people were injured as shrapnel and debris were hurled from the blast site. Firefighters rushed to the scene with multiple engines as police sealed off surrounding roads.
Authorities confirmed that both directions of the A1 motorway have been closed due to the fire and the danger of flying metal fragments. The warehouse, believed to be located on Müggenburger Straße in the Veddel district, remains engulfed in flames.
Dramatic images shared online showed the city skyline covered in thick grey plumes, while eyewitnesses reported hearing loud explosions echoing across Hamburg.
