Sheikh Amir bin Shuwain al-Hosni, Oman’s Minister of Social Development will be the chief guest at a function to celebrate a mass wedding in the Wilayat of Al-Hamra in Dakhiliyah region on Friday.
42 bridegrooms will attend it from various villages in the wilayat, according to Oman News Agency.
Al-Hosni hailed the efforts behind the organization of the mass wedding, saying, “We bless all efforts to reduce dowries and costs of marriage”, and added that the Ministry would support efforts to strengthen family relations, Oman News Agency added.
Sheikh Musalam bin Said al-Mahrooqi, wali of al-Hamra, conveyed that the youth of the wilaya initiated and arranged the wedding themselves and that the Ministry and the private sector supported their endeavor. (Albawaba.com)
