ALBAWABA - Sweden authorities announced that two people were killed in an overnight shooting in the second city of Gothenburg, AFP reported.
Police detailed that they received calls bout a shooting incident just before Monday midnight as local media hinted the incident could be linked to gang violence
"At the scene, two men aged 20-25 were found with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital but died of their injuries," a police statement read.
An investigation into the shooting and the motivation behind it was launched but authorities in Sweden currently haven't caught suspects.
Swedish media outlet Goteborgs-Posten revealed the attack could be linked to gang rivalry and a revenge attack for an earlier shooting.
