MashreqMillionaire, the longest running and most innovative saving scheme in the UAE, has announced the first winner to receive its biggest single cash prize ever following its revised prize structure in December 2009. The mega draw, which took place at the world's highest observatory with an outdoor terrace - At the Top, Burj Khalifa - rewarded Saji Ommen with the grand prize of AED 10 Million prize. In addition, the client Sanjay Hingovani won the monthly prize AED 1 Million, and more than 20 winners won AED 10,000 each.
At the occasion of this mega draw, Douglas Beckett, Head of Retail Banking Group in Mashreq announced the new prize structure for MashreqMillionaire.
This new prize structure is packaged to give multiple winning options to customers which would be from July 2010 onwards.
Beckett explained of the new structure of prizes "On December 30th we will have one mega draw of AED 5 million. On the same day we will also have AED 1 million special prize draw, rewarding Mashreq's loyal customers holding certificates for more than two years. Along with these mega and special prizes, the scheme would continue its monthly prize structure and declare 1 millionaire monthly. Our monthly structure of 20 winners of AED 10,000 will be expanded to cover 500 winners of AED 1,000 every month. All in all we will have 521 prizes distributed monthly and winning opportunities of AED 16 million plus over the next six months as prize money".

The sooner one saves with MashreqMillionaire, the more chances they will have to win the mega prize. For instance, customers saving in July will get free bonus entries into the mega draw at end of the year, increasing their chances six fold and customers saving in August will get five fold their chances where as customers saving in September will fourfold their probability of winning and so on.
