The President of Malta Guido de Marco left Cyprus Wednesday following a three-day state visit, during which he signed cooperation agreements on investment and merchant shipping.
Finance Minister Takis Klerides, who is acting Foreign Minister, bid farewell to de Marco. A guard of honor presented arms to the Maltese President as he approached the Cyprus Airways aircraft, walking on a red carpet to board the aircraft, according to Cyprus News Agency.
The official ceremony to bid farewell to de Marco took place earlier Wednesday morning at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, where he had a half hour cordial meeting with President Glafcos Clerides. (Albawaba.com)
