Malaysian Prime Minister on way to Morocco, Libya, Bahrain

Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad left Monday for a weeklong trip that will take him to Morocco, Libya and Bahrain to enhance trade relations, discuss the war on terrorism as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  

 

Mahathir was leading a 160-strong delegation including several Cabinet ministers, government officials and corporate leaders, the Malaysian news agency Bernama reported.  

 

Mahathir will spend three days in Morocco and meet with King Mohammed VI and Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi.  

 

On Thursday, he is due to visit Libya and meet with leader Moammar Gaddafi.  

 

Afterwards, he is to head to Bahrain on Saturday, where he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa Salman Al Khalifa. (Albawaba.com)
